Siphay Douangvilay Joins Schnabel as Senior Associate Engineer
Schnabel Engineering is pleased to welcome Siphay Douangvilay, PE, as a Senior Associate Engineer to our team of geotechnical and underground design professionals. Siphay joins Schnabel as a strategic hire specializing in soil-structure interaction analysis and support of excavation design.
Siphay holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering mechanics from Lipscomb University, Nashville, and a master’s degree in civil engineering with a concentration in structural mechanics from Tennessee Tech University. He’s a licensed professional engineer in Tennessee and New Jersey.
Siphay has over 18 years of civil and geotechnical experience working on department of transportation, commercial, industrial, local, state, and federal government projects. He has significant experience in support of excavation design, retaining wall design, and foundation design, as well as slope stability projects for landslide mitigation, dam and levees for flood protection, and landfills and sensitive soils for excavation of coal combustion residual ash ponds. With this strong geotechnical background, Siphay will significantly strengthen Schnabel’s presence in Nashville and be a valuable addition to supporting our heavy, civil underground projects across the country.
Siphay will augment our current in-house resources by providing senior-level design and support on tunneling and underground projects.
Please join us in welcoming Siphay to Schnabel!
