Schnabel Welcomes Guy Lund, PE
Schnabel Engineering is excited to announce the addition of Guy Lund, PE, as a Principal of the firm. With over four decades of specialized experience in the analysis and design of concrete dams—including gravity, RCC, arch, multiple-arch, and slab-and-buttress types—Guy brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. His extensive expertise in dam safety, inspection, analysis, and design will enhance Schnabel’s expanding Dam and Levee Engineering practice in Colorado and across the United States.
In his new role, Guy will provide leadership, mentorship, and technical expertise to our staff and clients. Early in his career Guy worked as a design engineer on numerous spillways, water conveyance systems, and outlet works for the Bureau of Reclamation. He has worked in the private sector for over 30 years, and is considered a leader in the analysis, design, and evaluation of concrete dams. In addition, Guy has been working with potential failure modes and risk analysis for over 20 years and currently serves as an independent consultant and board of consultant member for many Federal Energy Regulatory Commission projects.
Guy has been an active contributor to the field and is a member of several professional organizations, including the United States Society on Dams (USSD), the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the SEI – Structural Engineering Institute, and the American Concrete Institute (ACI).
