Schnabel Appoints New Market Pursuit Directors
Schnabel Engineering is pleased to announce new leadership for its firmwide Market Pursuits in Transportation, Power and Energy, Federal, and Mining.
The newly appointed Market Pursuit Directors will organize and implement business development strategies and collaborate across service lines and geographies to better position the firm to successfully win and deliver projects with our industry partners.
Congratulations to our new Market Pursuit Directors: Chadd Yeatts (Transportation), Johnny Lowe (Power and Energy), Sharon Krock (Federal), and Morley Beckman (Mining).
Chadd Yeatts, PE – Transportation Market Pursuit Director
Chadd has over 27 years of geotechnical engineering experience, including over 14 years with Schnabel as a project manager and business developer.
Since 2017, Chadd has served as the Power and Energy Market Pursuit Leader. He has also supported several of Schnabel’s leadership and learning programs from their inception, including the Business Development (BD) Apprentice and BD Journey programs, Unity Mentors, and the Operations BD/Marketing and Employee Experience Teams.
Prior to joining Schnabel, Chadd was a geotechnical department manager for another consulting firm and design manager for a ground improvement contractor.
Chadd has served in key leadership roles for several client-facing organizations. Most notably, he was the ACEC VA Board Chair and National Director and is now chairing ACEC VA’s newly created Power and Energy Committee. Chadd also served as the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) President of the Blue Ridge Chapter and later served on ASHE’s Board of Directors.

Johnny Lowe, PE – Power and Energy Market Pursuit Director
Johnny brings nearly three decades of experience in the engineering and construction industry, with the past three years focused on advancing Schnabel’s service to power and energy and transportation clients. A licensed professional engineer in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, he combines his technical background with proven leadership to drive success on complex projects and pursuits.
Since joining Schnabel in 2023, Johnny has been instrumental in business development and senior project management for large-scale energy, solid waste, and transportation projects, collaborating with others to strengthen Schnabel’s position in these sectors. His career includes leadership roles, such as assistant program manager for a major utility contract, director of construction, and senior business development roles, where he has led multi-disciplinary proposals, projects, and strategic initiatives across the energy market.
Johnny also serves as Schnabel’s contract manager for multiple utilities, is a Board Member-at-Large for the American Coal Ash Association, and is committed to mentoring future leaders through Schnabel’s BD Apprentice Program.

Sharon Krock, SPWS, F.SAME – Federal Market Pursuit Director
Sharon began her career at Schnabel in 2001 as a wetland scientist, quickly discovering her passion for building relationships through business development. She was part of Schnabel’s inaugural BD class, which inspired the creation of the firm’s current BD Apprentice Program. Sharon remains engaged with the program, serving annually as a mentor or advisor. She became Chadds Ford, PA, Branch Leader in 2020 and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2024.
For more than two decades, Sharon has been a dedicated leader within the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). She served as Philadelphia Post President in 2012, was inducted into the prestigious Academy of Fellows in 2014 as a Young Professional, and has held multiple national leadership roles: North Atlantic Regional Vice President (2017–2020), National Vice President (2021–2023), National President (2024–2025), and now Past President of the 26,000+ member society. In addition, she serves as Vice-Chair of the Editorial Committee for the U.S. Society on Dams.
Sharon has also been instrumental in strengthening small business capabilities to support federal projects through strategic mentor-protégé partnerships. Sharon works with Schnabel’s current mentor-protégé relationship with APS GEO, enabling the Schnabel/APS GEO Joint Venture to pursue federal small business contracts.

Morley Beckman, PE – Mining Market Pursuit Director
Morley has over 24 years of experience as a geotechnical and geological engineer, including seven years with Schnabel. She joined the Longmont team in 2019 as a dams engineer but quickly discovered the world of abandoned mine reclamation, steering her career into the mining industry.
Her primary areas of technical focus are hard rock tunneling and abandoned mine retrofit and rehabilitation design, including specialty drilling into flooded abandoned mines. She served as the branch leader for the Longmont, CO, office from 2022 to 2025. Through her technical and leadership roles, she has developed strong relationships throughout the firm.
Morley has participated in several leadership programs at Schnabel, including the BD Apprentice Program and the Schnabel Engineering Advanced Leadership (SEAL) program. She helped to create the Unity Mentors program in 2021.
Morley has also been an active member of professional organizations, including local and regional leadership roles with the Association for Environmental and Engineering Geologists (AEG), co-chairing the Rocky Mountain Mining and Reclamation Conference (RMMRC), and presenting regularly at the National Association of Abandoned Mine Land Programs (NAAMLP) conference.
