Chadd Yeatts currently serves as a Senior Associate and Senior Vice President at Schnabel where he leads the firm-wide Power and Energy Initiative. In this capacity, Chadd ensures Schnabel’s continued power and energy growth into new geographic markets, positions the firm for emerging markets within the power and energy sector, provides client development and management, and most importantly helps our clients manage their project risks. Chadd’s vision is to develop lifelong relationships for the firm and our clients, resulting in meaningful partnerships for the safe and successful completion of power infrastructure projects.

With over 20 years of experience in civil engineering, specializing in geotechnical engineering, Chadd has worked for consulting firms and a specialty design-build geotechnical contractor. His project experience includes work throughout the United States and the Caribbean with extensive work in Virginia. Many of these projects include power generation and power delivery projects, highways and bridges, and industrial facilities. His expertise includes the design of slope stabilization measures, ground improvement, and sinkhole mitigation in karst geologic settings.

When he is not working, Chadd continues to represent Schnabel through high-standing involvement in the community. In 2019 he was named to ACEC Virginia’s Board of Directors and became the organization’s Western Region Vice President and is a past president of the Blue Chapter of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE). Chadd serves on the Board of Directors for the Blacksburg Rotary Club. He is also the Founder and Director of the Eddie Yeatts Memorial Foundation, Inc., in honor of his late father. With his leadership, the foundation has raised over $250,000 for those in need in the Roanoke and New River Valleys of Virginia.
