In his 37 years with Schnabel, Bill Khouri first rose to the position of Geotechnical Design Team Leader in the Rockville, Maryland, office. In 2015, he launched Schnabel Engineering DC, Inc. (an affiliate of Schnabel Engineering) where he is President and Owner. Over this time, Bill has provided geotechnical expertise on an array of project types for government, corporate, institutional, and commercial clients. His roles have ranged from Project Engineer and Manager to Senior Reviewer on both new construction and renovation programs at sites where subsurface conditions, soil composition, and land contours strongly influenced the process of foundation design and construction. He is proud to count among his federal clients the FDA, NIH, NIST, GSA, FBI, ATF, USACE, and NAVFAC. Public agency, institutional, and private clients include DC Water, Pepco, Georgetown University, American University, the University of Maryland, the Smithsonian Institution, Washington Adventist Hospital, United Therapeutics, JBG SMITH, Clark Construction, and Coakley & Williams.
