National Hydropower Day

Tomorrow,  August 24th, is National Hydropower Day. As an active member of the National Hydropower Association, we are thrilled to join them in celebrating all that hydropower generates, including cleaner communities, a more reliable electricity grid, and innovative energy solutions.

For over 140 years, hydropower has fueled the US with clean, renewable energy. Hydro is also critical to the vitality of the nation’s clean energy infrastructure and the resiliency of the electrical grid. It ensures the stability of the grid by being flexible enough to quickly provide dispatchable generation, all while keeping the power system in balance and reducing transmission congestion.
