Muriel Rodriguez Elected President of DBIA CVA

We’re proud to share that Muriel Rodriguez, Senior Associate, has been elected president of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Central Virginia (CVA) chapter within the DBIA Mid-Atlantic Region.

Muriel’s focus will be to grow the CVA chapter by actively engaging both owners and practitioners to strengthen connections across the design-build community. She aims to expand programming and project tours that showcase best practices, collaboration, and highlight what “design-build done right” looks like in action.

“I’m excited to take on the DBIA CVA president role because it gives me the chance to support our members, elevate the impact of design-build across our region, and help drive our chapter forward,” says Muriel, a CVA chapter member since 2018. “Being part of DBIA means joining a community that thrives on collaboration, innovation, and efficiency. The design-build approach lets us work on diverse projects with teams that carry ideas from early concept through construction. It’s inspiring to be part of a team that brings vision to life.”

DBIA is a professional organization that focuses on the design and construction industry and promotes best practices in design-build project delivery through education, advocacy, and collaboration.
