Airports
After 25 years and more than 450 airport projects in the United States and abroad, Schnabel has gained extensive experience with a diverse range of airport capital improvements. Our clients have ranged from smaller municipal airports to massive international facilities for local and state aviation agencies, airlines, air terminal companies, public works departments, and military institutions.
Our services focus primarily on geotechnical and geostructural engineering for airside and landside facilities, including terminal and airport operations buildings; runways, taxiways, and aircraft pavement aprons; roads and bridges; tunnels and deep excavations; rail access and people mover systems; and other underground facilities. We’ve delivered 150+ aviation building/projects under design-build contracts. Our design-build projects for airport facilities total over $1 billion in construction costs.
