John Seifarth Joins Schnabel as Senior Hydropower Consultant

Schnabel Engineering is pleased to welcome John Seifarth as a Senior Hydropower Consultant in our expanding Hydropower Generation practice across the United States.

Based in our Chadds Ford, PA, office, John is an accomplished senior executive with over 38 years of leadership experience in the hydropower and energy sector, with expertise spanning engineering, project management, manufacturing, field installation, and corporate strategy.

In his role, John will provide technical and strategic leadership, including supporting strategic service development, client engagement, and staff development and mentorship. His expertise will help guide clients on hydropower generation upgrades, modernization efforts, repairs, supply chain optimization, and asset strategies.

Before joining Schnabel, John spent most of his career with a leading global hydropower equipment designer, supplier, and installer – most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer.

Throughout his distinguished career, John has helped shape the future of hydropower, including testifying before Congress in 2017 on the benefits of pumped storage hydropower in the United States.

John holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA.  He is a member of the National Hydropower Association (NHA), American Welding Society (AWS), and the Manufacturers Association.
