To mark the day, we’re sharing photos of the RiverRenew Tunnel System—the largest infrastructure project in Alexandria, Virginia’s history. Schnabel’s tunneling and underground team supported the project from planning through construction, delivering a 2.2-mile-long tunnel, diversion structures, and expanded wet-weather treatment capacity to help AlexRenew keep millions of gallons of combined sewage out of its waterways.
