Engineering and Public Works Roadshow Recognizes the Low Battery Seawall Project

Schnabel Engineering attended the Engineering and Public Works Roadshow in Charleston, South Carolina last week where the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the American Public Works Association (APWA), and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) recognized the Low Battery Seawall Rehabilitation Project. Schnabel is proud to be the Engineer of Record for this project’s new micropile foundations. The rehabilitation consists of replacing the nearly 110-year-old timber pile supported seawall with a new seawall to protect the city against future flooding including provisions for up to two feet of sea level rise, improving the roadway, and providing improved accessibility to the historic battery. We want to thank our client, Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) for involving us in this project.
