Cobbs Creek Begins Filling

Construction at Henrico County’s Cobbs Creek Reservoir in Columbia, VA, began in July 2017. This week, the reservoir—with approximately 15-billion-gallon raw water storage capacity—has begun filling!

Jason Stiteler, Staff Technologist (left), and Mark Landis, Engineer of Record (right), were at the site this week to witness the start-up testing of the momentous event. They are standing in front of the 155-foot-high (partially buried in embankment) inlet/outlet tower that is releasing water, pumped from the James River, into the reservoir.
