Eva Hartmann, GPHR, SHRM-SCP, joined Schnabel Engineering as Director of Human Resources to help drive the company’s employer brand and employee engagement initiatives and to advance and develop existing and new HR services. Hartmann will lead HR initiatives from the Glen Allen, Virginia, corporate office.
Hartmann will be a key member of the company’s leadership team, reporting directly to Walt Rabe, CEO. Her responsibilities will include strategic planning and business partnership; organizational design and effectiveness; talent and leadership development; HR process improvement; succession planning, compensation and rewards; talent acquisition; diversity and inclusion; and employee relations and engagement.
Prior to joining Schnabel, Hartmann founded Trellis LLC, a human resources consulting and staffing firm. She also served in leadership roles at nationally and globally-recognized companies including Tredegar Film Products, Wachovia Securities, Genworth Financial, Sun Microsystems and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).
Hartmann serves on the Board of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) of Richmond, Virginia and teaches as an adjunct instructor at the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business. Hartmann received a MBA at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA and a BA from the University of Virginia. She is a graduate of the Leadership Metro Richmond Class of 2009.
