Our Knoxville, Tennessee office made the news on January 18 for their good work through the Coal Creek Watershed Foundation (CCWF) at Briceville Elementary School. One such outreach program, Engineering Better Readers, hosted several dignitaries including Lt. Gov. Randy McNally at its third-year launch. Read all about it here and here.
CCWF was founded 17 years ago by Knoxville’s Branch Leader, Barry Thacker, PE. With Geo/Environmental Associates (GA) at the time, Barry saw this as a way for engineers to engage with and give back to the communities they serve. GA was acquired by Schnabel in 2013 and the work continues to be proudly funded by Knoxville’s staff.
