Schnabel Fills Three New Positions

J. Harris

Jonathan M. Harris, PE, hired as a senior associate, serves in the newly-created role of National Practice Leader for risk services and dam safety. With more than 22 years of experience as a geotechnical engineer, he specializes in comprehensive dam safety reviews, potential failure mode analysis, and risk-informed decision-making processes.  Prior to joining Schnabel, Jonathan was employed by Damwatch Engineering in Wellington, New Zealand, and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation in Denver, Colorado.  Jonathan works out of Schnabel’s Greensboro, North Carolina office.


J. LogigianJohn M. Logigian joins Schnabel’s dams group as a senior associate. He has more than 30 years of experience managing large levee, flood risk reduction, civil works, and environmental projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other federal agencies.  One of his career highlights was his role as the civil works project manager for a $50 million flood risk reduction program for the New Orleans District following Hurricane Katrina. John is located in Schnabel’s Morristown, New Jersey office.


D. VerdonDorothy J. Verdon, CPSM, fulfills the newly-created position of corporate communications manager.  She is a marketing and business development professional who has also provided writing, editing, market research and strategic planning services within the A/E/C industry for more than three decades. A graduate of Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, Dorothy worked for various Philadelphia-region firms before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1995 and starting a successful consulting practice.  Back in the Philadelphia area since 2006, her service to the industry continued, most recently with Bruce E. Brooks & Associates Consulting Engineers. Dorothy is based in Schnabel’s West Chester, Pennsylvania office.
