Andrew Breighner Joins Schnabel as Hydropower Generation Practice Lead

Schnabel Engineering is pleased to welcome Andrew Breighner, PE, as our new Hydropower Generation Practice Lead – expanding our engineering services to include equipment inside the powerhouse for hydropower clients.

With more than 13 years of specialized mechanical engineering experience for hydropower stations and equipment, Andrew began his career working for an OEM supporting new hydropower and hydropower rehabilitation projects. Most recently, Andrew worked in a consulting engineering role supporting CAPEX planning, condition assessments, and owner’s engineer services for hydropower plants across North America.

As an expert in hydropower, Andrew will significantly strengthen our hydropower services with the addition of these new hydropower generation equipment capabilities, including condition assessments, life extension, efficiency improvements, environmental improvements, and overhaul support.

Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering with a mechanical concentration from Messiah University, Mechanicsburg, PA. He is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania.
