Giving back to the communities we live and work in is important at Schnabel. It not only contributes to the public good by making the world a better place for all of us, it also helps establish friendships, improve skills, and raise social awareness. That’s why we coordinate our community service efforts company-wide to kindle unity and cooperation among staff in each office through service to area neighborhoods.

We engage employees in efforts they’re passionate about and build camaraderie through socializing and fun! We recognize the incredible impact our employees are making and share it with our colleagues, clients, and the world at large. We look forward to increasing our donations and positively impacting our communities across the country.

Health and Safety

Safety awareness and participation is critical to keeping our team and collaborators safe. We revere the health, safety, and happiness of our employees, contractors, clients, and the general public alike. As such, we consider the practice of safety to be an integral expression of our core value of accountability. Our team is fully dedicated to meeting and exceeding regulations from federal, state, and local agencies.

Over the last decade we’ve implemented fundamentals like formalizing our safety process, gaining leadership and management buy-in, conducting routine auditing, and establishing a robust training program. Working closely with clients and their programs has increased our efficiency and continues to inspire best practices as we share ideas with and learn lessons from our colleagues in the industry.

We continually assess and improve our safety-first program, which includes the following aspects:
  • A team of full-time environmental, health, and safety (EHS) professionals
  • A thorough and robust safety training program
  • Comprehensive personal protective equipment (PPE) program
  • Stop Work Authority
  • Site-specific health and safety plans
  • Exposure assessments such as Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Daily task huddles to align teams on standards and responsibilities
  • Frequent “look aheads” to plan out intricate site work
  • Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER); medical surveillance and respirator program
  • ISNetworld member in good standing
  • Avetta member in good standing
