Our in-house laboratories measure the physical properties and
engineering behavior of soil, rock, and building construction materials.
This capability allows our professional staff to develop timely and reliable information supporting project design and construction.

Our firm-wide soil mechanics laboratory utilizes automated data acquisition for the efficient use of resources and accuracy of data collection, but test selection and interpretation of results are performed by our experienced staff of engineering professionals and technicians.  Their extensive knowledge of testing methods, equipment, and soil behavior has been acquired through academic and practical experience.

Our laboratories voluntarily participate in regular, external quality assurance programs conducted by AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) and the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).  These independent programs evaluate the laboratory’s personnel, equipment, procedures, and quality systems program.  Our participation in these programs displays our commitment to competency, quality, and recognition of the importance of these testing services.
