Schnabel Awarded USACE, Savannah District Projects
Schnabel's Columbia, South Carolina office was recently awarded two new U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects, serving as the Geotechnical Engineer of Record. Both projects, awarded by the Savannah District Corps of Engineers, are associated with moving the 1st Armored Division from Fort Knox, Kentucky to Fort Benning, Georgia as one of the Corps’ “Centers for Excellence” under BRAC.
The first project is with the Joint Venture team of Clark/Caddell/LS3P for a $250M design-build project consisting of the construction of 20 barracks buildings, four battalion headquarters buildings, and two dining facilities on two separate sites.
The second project is with the B.L. Harbert design-build team for an $80M AET & IET Complex, consisting of design and construction of UEPHs, COFs, Arms Vaults, headquarters buildings, and other structures.
