West Chester Awarded DGS Contract for Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission Projects

Schnabel’s West Chester, Pennsylvania office has been appointed by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services to design rehabilitation measures for four dams owned by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC).


Schnabel Awarded DC WASA General Consultant Tunnels and Geotechnical Engineering Contract Teamed with Jacobs Associates and URS, Schnabel and LF&A were recently awarded the General Consultant Tunnels and Geotechnical Engineering (GCTGE) contract with the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (WASA) for the Long Term Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Control Plan.
Fairfax County Parkway Schnabel was recently selected by the Virginia Department of Transportation and the U S Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division as a part of the Cherry Hill Construction and Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. design/build team for the roadway segment that will complete the final two miles of the Fairfax County Parkway.
Schnabel Wins MPA Contract Schnabel is pleased to announce the recent contract award by the Maryland Port Administration (MPA) on the “Innovative Re-Use of Dredged Material” from the Cox Creek Dredged Material Containment Facility (DMCF).

Schnabel to Provide Services to Wake County, North Carolina Schnabel has been selected to negotiate a contract for pond and dam engineering services for Wake County, North Carolina. In May, Wake County, a heavily populated and rapidly growing area that includes Raleigh, began searching for the most qualified consultant to provide dam engineering services for a current dam upgrade project and for similar future projects. From an initial notification of over 85 consulting firms, the County reviewed many proposals, interviewed five of the most qualified firms, and selected Schnabel Engineering as the engineering consultant for the Wake County Pond Dam Repair and Upgrade Project. Schnabel is honored to have been selected and looks forward to a successful negotiation and to providing engineering services to the County.

Schnabel Awarded USACE, Savannah District Projects

Schnabel's Columbia, South Carolina office was recently awarded two new U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects, serving as the Geotechnical Engineer of Record.  Both projects, awarded by the Savannah District Corps of Engineers, are associated with moving the 1st Armored Division from Fort Knox, Kentucky to Fort Benning, Georgia as one of the Corps’ “Centers for Excellence” under BRAC.

The first project is with the Joint Venture team of Clark/Caddell/LS3P for a $250M design-build project consisting of the construction of 20 barracks buildings, four battalion headquarters buildings, and two dining facilities on two separate sites.

The second project is with the B.L. Harbert design-build team for an $80M AET & IET Complex, consisting of design and construction of UEPHs, COFs, Arms Vaults, headquarters buildings, and other structures.
 


Schabel Awarded MDSHA Pavement and Geotechnical Services Contract

Schnabel's Baltimore, Maryland office was awarded the pavement & geotechnical services contract by the Maryland State Highway Administration. Schnabel has held this contract for the past three years as part of a joint venture, but were awarded the contract on their own this go around. This contract is for five years and has a total value of $ 3,000,000.
