Robert (Bob) E. Jackson, Ph.D., P.G. Joins Schnabel

October 15, 2007 | Robert (Bob) E. Jackson, Ph.D., P.G., has joined the Firm as Senior Consultant. Dr. Jackson is a program management and licensing support professional with more than 30 years experience in delivering technical support services to commercial and government clients. His primary focus has been the resolution of licensing and permitting issues for critical facilities in the geological, environmental, nuclear power, nuclear and hazardous waste management, and architect-engineering industries. While a member of the Senior Executive Service at the USNRC, he directed and participated in the Safety Analyses Reports for 30 nuclear power plant site studies for geotechnical and seismic issues. In this role, he also was an expert witness and contributed to the development of numerous regulatory documents. Dr. Jackson has served as Senior Advisor to the US Department of Energy (USDOE); US Geological Survey; FEMA; and the South Korean, Taiwanese, and Italian Atomic Energy Agencies. He directed contractor support for the USDOE, Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management’s Yucca Mountain site. Dr. Jackson has been a senior executive for several national firms in the Environmental and Architect – Engineering industries. As the Senior Vice President, Energy Programs at Schnabel, he will lead support services for energy programs including nuclear power generation, nuclear facility siting, and radioactive waste management.
