Mr. Derrenbacher has more than 27 years of experience in geotechnical engineering. His experience includes project management of over 500 geotechnical engineering studies within Maryland. Mr. Derrenbacher has experience in a variety of geotechnical engineering applications relative to the design of: retirement communities and apartment buildings; highrise structures; slopes; parking garages; hospitals; warehouse and industrial facilities; commercial buildings; secondary schools, universities, and colleges; residential developments; roadways, bridges and parking lots; and waterfront structures. He has served on design-build projects for transportation, Federal, and university projects Mr. Derrenbacher’s specialized experience includes soil mechanics testing, shallow foundations, compaction grouting, jet grouting, dam rehabilitation and design, stormwater management facilities, slope stabilization, drilled shafts, geotechnical studies in karst terrain, and sinkhole investigation and remediation.
