Mr. Canino has more than 20 years of experience in geotechnical and dam engineering, primarily in the eastern and southeastern U.S., Puerto Rico, and Central America. At Schnabel, he is responsible for providing quality assurance and technical expertise on geotechnical, dam, levee, and design projects. Mr. Canino has served as the Project Manager/Task Leader on nearly 200 geotechnical, dam, and levee engineering projects; and has been responsible for performing inspections, investigations, instrumentation installation and monitoring, seepage and stability analyses, design, construction, rehabilitation, siting studies, emergency action planning, and developing O&M manuals. Mr. Canino has experience with embankment, rockfill, concrete-gravity, masonry-gravity, and RCC dams. His geotechnical experience includes investigations; analyses; designs; inspections; technical report and specification writing; research; construction management related to soil mechanics; shallow and deep foundations; and soil-structure interaction for civil works projects, waterfront structures, and geoenvironmental projects. Mr. Canino is a frequent presenter at conferences and workshops, and is an active member of the ASCE, the ASDSO, and the USSD where he serves on the Committee on Materials for Embankment Dams. As Branch Leader, Mr. Canino is responsible for the overall operations and direction of Schnabel’s West Chester, Pennsylvania, office.
