Bio

Mr. Murphy, located in Schnabel’s Sterling, Virginia, office, has more than 43 years experience in geotechnical engineering. His experience includes geotechnical design for site development and foundations for a broad range of projects for both private sector and U.S. military clients throughout the United States and in Africa, Canada, and Europe. These projects have included high- and low-rise buildings, roads and bridges, airport facilities, power plants, manufacturing facilities, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, petroleum storage tanks, harbor dredging, transmission towers, earth structures, and drainage structures. He has served as project manager and principal-in-charge on environmental remediation projects.
