The Richmond, VA office of Schnabel Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, responsible individual for employment as a Project Engineer within our construction phase services group. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

The emphasis for this position is on maintaining client relationships through the successful management of projects of small to moderate size as well as performing engineering tasks with a high degree of skill. Representative tasks for the project level position include preparing proposals, ensuring the satisfactory performance of construction testing and inspections, foundation and earthwork construction related problem solving, report production, and practical knowledge of construction observation and materials testing.

Requirements:

Candidates with at least 3 years of geotechnical and/or construction materials testing experience will be considered for this position. A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree from an accredited four-year institution is required. Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE)/Engineering-in-Training exam is preferable and a Professional Engineering license or ability to obtain the license within two years is also preferred.
