Staff Geotechnical Engineer

Description:

The Newport News office has an opening for a Staff Engineer.

As a Staff Geotechnical Engineer you would be primarily responsible for assisting with the design and construction phases of geotechnical projects by performing general engineering duties, including field observations and reporting. Your responsibilities also include test boring and test pit inspection, Pile Driving Analyzer training, geotechnical analysis, preparing logs and reports, and coordinating subcontractors.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have up to two years working experience (summer work experience acceptable) and have successfully passed the FE exam or have their E.I.T. certification. A Bachelors in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is required. Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written and the ability to work independently.
